/02PROBLEM

The problems PickQ
solves

This product was built to solve the recurring operational and development challenges found in real environments like the ones below.

CONTEXT

An on-site pickup platform for concerts and fan meetings — skip the line and collect goods with GPS check-in, a real-time queue, and secure QR codes. Existing solutions were either not operator-friendly or built in a way that piled up maintenance costs. UNISYS redesigned this into a product that's owned all the way through operations.

/03FEATURES

Key Features

The core features PickQ provides. Every feature is delivered in an operable form.

F-01

Fan pickup experience

Phone-number OTP login, automatic GPS geofence check-in, real-time queue number and estimated wait, call push notifications, and a 5-minute-TTL one-time secure QR — collect goods without standing in line.

F-02

Staff on-site processing

Scan a QR to instantly look up and verify an order, call the next customer in the counter queue, and manage exceptions (exchange/refund/sold-out) as issue tickets.

F-03

Operator unified control

A single console with KPI dashboards (pickup/waiting/called/no-show/issues), counter control (tile · bar · heatmap), queue and issue boards, staff monitoring, bulk announcements, and unified search.

F-04

Real-time sync

WebSocket-based counter queues and APNs push keep customer, staff, and operator screens in sync as one flow.

F-05

Security · Role-based access

Signed, TTL, one-time QR tokens, GPS geofencing, and rate limiting, with separate authentication for customers (OTP), staff (PIN/QR), and operators (email).

F-06

Multi-event

Run multiple events simultaneously from one system, configuring counters, zones, and geofences per event.

/05FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most often when evaluating adoption.

A basic setup (events, counters, and the fan/staff/operator apps) typically takes 2–3 business weeks; 6–8 weeks when integrating with ticketing or other custom systems.
The backend runs on Cloudflare Workers + PostgreSQL (Neon/Hyperdrive) and can be deployed to your own Cloudflare account and infrastructure. iOS apps are provided through separate distribution channels.
It provides an OpenAPI 3.1 REST API with JWT authentication, so order, counter, QR, customer, and issue data can integrate with ticketing, CRM, and logistics systems.
QR codes are issued as signed, 5-minute-TTL, one-time tokens to block forgery and reuse, and GPS geofencing verifies on-site arrival to prevent early queuing and remote check-in.
